Slant Six Games is a collective of intelligent, experienced, mature(ish) game developers who believe that crafting high quality games can be a healthy part of a daily diet. Our studio was established in 2005 in Vancouver BC, by a crack team of surprisingly sociable engineers, one endearingly grumpy development director, one very smiley art guy, and a trained jazz musician… better known as The Founders.

From this humble beginning, Slant Six is now home to 115 of the brightest game developers in the industry. We specialize in developing games for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PlayStation Portable (PSP) game consoles and, in February 2008, we were awarded the prestigious Elan Award for the Best New Video Game Company.
We believe in working smart and working together. Our tools and engineering are second to none. Our teams strive for excellence and have achieved award winning recognition. We ship games and stand behind that product proudly. Our first PS3 title, SOCOM: Confrontation, published by Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) in November 2008, enjoyed the biggest opening week of any SCEA PS3 title to date. Our install base continues to grow impressively and we are committed to supporting SOCOM: Confrontation by developing additional DLC (downloadable content) for future release.
Our inaugural title, SOCOM: Tactical Strike (SCEA), was named the Best PSP Multiplayer Experience at E3 2007 and in February 2008 it was awarded the Elan Award for the Best Handheld Game of the Year. Before that, we created the graphics rendering engine for the massively popular (and very pretty!) Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror.
We also love to have fun — while we’re at work and away from the office. We aim to hire only down to earth, respectful and conscientious individuals with a love of teamwork (and a requisite appreciation for our sense of humour). To this dedicated bunch we offer complimentary ski passes, sports event tickets (Go Canucks!), free candy, great benefits, lots of social events, and a bright and open studio in the heart of beautiful Vancouver.
And, in case you’re wondering, the name Slant Six Games was inspired by the groundbreaking 1959 Plymouth engine, the Slant Six — known as a workhorse engine and admired for its quality crafstmanship and amazing endurance. We like that.
