The IT Helpdesk Technician is responsible for providing first level support involving hardware and software problems.
Main responsibilities:
-Provide first level support to users for hardware, software and network issues.
-Work with issue tracking system to ensure that all issues and tracked and accounted for.
-Work with other IT techs to ensure proper issue resolution.
-Maintain inventory lists of hardware and accessories.
-Assist with staff moves planning and implementation.
-Maintain reference manuals and document solutions to problems for future reference.
-Maintain knowledge of computer systems, applications and equipment.
-Provide superior customer service at all times and communicate effectively.
-Perform other duties and responsibilites as required.
Required Skills, Abilities and Experience:
-College/University Degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Management Information Systems, and 1+ years of equivalent industry experience.
-Experience with supporting of desktop and laptop devices, personal devices (iPads, iPhones, Blackberrys)
-Basic Network administration and support experience.
-Experience with supporting Windows XP, Vista and 7.
-Experience with Active Directory and Exchange Server administration.
-Ability to lift 25 pounds.
-Experience with high tech, new media or video game development tools is an asset.
