How long have you been honing your gaming craft?
Roughly since the age of 5, when my parents brought me home one of those old Super Nintendos. Coincidentally I also had an older cousin who was into PC games, so I grew up playing classics like Mario, Hexen, Diablo, Command & Conquer, Doom, Duke Nukem... the list is endless. And of course, that includes the Resident Evil-franchise.
What was the first game that got you hooked?
Hooked... Pretty much since the first time I played games, I knew that this was something that I'd grow up doing. No game per se got me hooked, but the activity in its entirety did.
What are your preferred gaming platforms?
I used to be a heavy PC gamer, and the only console I used to play was the Playstation. Now my tastes run more along my Xbox 360. That isn't to say that I don't like all of them. Heck, my wardrobe is full of old and new gaming consoles.
Name your top 3 games of all time?
That's a really tough one, haha, I've always had a hard time answering this! I'll just take the liberty to alter this a bit and say that my three game SERIES of all time are Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid :)
If you could be any video-game character for a day, which would you be?
Jill Valentine, no doubt! But that's probably a given based on my pic here, haha! Getting to run around fighting zombies and B.O.W.'s, looking stunning, having a ton of admirers, and of course I'd always get to have the lovely Chris Redfield nearby, to save me and punch away any boulders that might threaten my safety. I just hope people wouldn't ask me for too many Jill sandwiches. I'm not a great cook.
When you’re not gaming…what are you up to?
Well I used to go to college, but I got my degree already so that's that. I love music and to sing, it's definitely an extraordinary passion of mine. I love watching a good flick, spending time with my family, amateur-video/photo manipulation, crazy and deep debates about mankind and how we function, and occasionally I save the world. Oh, I also pet my kitty a lot. I'm a pretty laid-back person.
If you could do anything, what would be your ideal job – real or fictional!
Honestly, no matter what... I've always wanted to (and still do) want to work within the gaming industry in one way or another. I think I have a knack for storytelling, and my extreme knowledge of how humans function would make me ideal for something like, say character design. On top of that I voice act and sing, so in one way or another I'm sure the gaming industry would be an ideal job for me. Working with something that's such a big part of my life... I think there wouldn't be a day when I woke up and just wanted to sleep in. Going to work would be like an adventure every day!
What is your favorite retro game and why?
For me, it'd be one of the games I played on the Super Nintendo. I'm not going to say Mario because that's such a cliche... But two retro games I always loved were Contra and Binary. Contra because I got to shoot a ton of stuff and roll and be like Rambo, while Binary was just a cute game I spent a lot of time playing... Because who doesn't want to lead two birds through a labyrinth?
If you had to describe yourself in one word what would it be?
Crazy, I guess. Not saying that's good or bad, that's something I'll let others judge, haha. I'm sure it can be both at times. *Wink*
