The Technical Artist works closely with other members of the production team to propose and deliver effective tools,  workflows and efficient processes.  

Key Contribution areas:

-    Create, design, implement, improve and support artist workflows

-    Problem solve technical issues

-    Maintain and improve the art production pipeline while constantly re-evaluating the pipeline for improvements and enhancements

-    Maintain technical integrity of the art through the entire production process


A successful performer in this role will:

-    Have extensive scripting experience utilizing Mel and Python

-    Work self-sufficiently and collaboratively with all team members to meet strict technical, creative and time restrictions

-    Be willing to commit to an aggressive standard of excellence, and to reflect that commitment in personal work ethic, persistence and drive

-    Maintain focus in the face of many, potentially conflicting, demands on their time

-    Possess strong attention to technical detail while having an eye for aesthetics

-    Provide production support across all areas of art

Education and Experience:

- 3+ years experience in game development as a Technical Artist
- Expert level scripting skills (Mel and Python)
- Experience working with shaders
- Thorough knowledge and proficiency working with 3D modeling packages
